Goals
One of our Goals was to create and implement a Shopping ads strategy on Google with the mission to increase sales, revenue and to increase the ROAS. This ads strategy included Google Ads, Performance Max (Pmax), and Shopping Ads campaign types.
Results
In the first year of running the Shopping ads strategy on Google, we saw an increase of 28% in revenue only with more 18% investment. Also, the ROAS increased by 2% which means the sales were more profitable compared with the past investment which we conclude the shopping ads strategy was bringing profitable sales!
Action
Starting with Pmax campaigns (with no assets with feed only) for us to see which product categories or products were having better or worse performance and to see products that were not having impressions we implemented Google Ads scripts to extract that information for us to able to make optimizations necessary. On Google Shopping campaigns we also used scripts but in this case, we used them as a support to the Pmax campaigns. On Shopping campaigns, we separated the product categories per ad group to have a bidding control (Target ROAS).
